This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of this website (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use this website. We are an independent Spectrum Authorized Retailer — not Charter Communications, Inc. and not spectrum.com. Reading this policy before using the site is a good idea; continued use means you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We gather information in several ways depending on how you interact with the site:
- ZIP code lookups. When you enter a ZIP code to check Spectrum coverage, that ZIP is sent to our availability API, which queries the FCC National Broadband Map dataset. We do not link ZIP queries to your identity, and we do not store them in any way that identifies you personally.
- Server logs. Our web server automatically records standard access-log data: IP address (or a truncated version), browser type, referring URL, pages visited and timestamps. We use this for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis.
- Consent state. When you interact with our cookie banner, your choice (“Accept all” or “Decline”) is saved in your browser’s
localStorageunder the keynet-consent. This record stays local to your browser and is not sent to our servers. - Phone calls. Calls you place to us may be recorded for quality assurance and training. You will receive notice of recording at the start of the call.
- Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags. Under Google Consent Mode v2, those services default to “denied” for all ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization and analytics storage until you click “Accept all” on our cookie banner. If you decline, no identifying analytics or advertising cookies are set.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Show you Spectrum plan availability at your ZIP code and point you toward the right offer.
- Maintain and improve the security and performance of this website.
- Understand aggregate visitor behavior so we can improve content (analytics, post-consent only).
- Run Google Ads campaigns that match our ads to relevant audiences (advertising data, post-consent only).
- Handle inquiries and order referrals with Spectrum on your behalf when you call us.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that significantly affect you, and we do not profile users beyond aggregate advertising analytics.
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Spectrum for order fulfillment. When you call us and place an order, your order details are shared with Spectrum (Charter Communications, Inc.) so they can provision service, bill you and fulfill your subscription. Once an order is placed, Spectrum’s own privacy policy governs that information.
- Service vendors (post-consent). If you have accepted analytics and advertising cookies, data may flow to Google LLC under Google Consent Mode v2 for analytics and ad-performance measurement. These vendors are contractually required to handle data in accordance with applicable law.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of the operator of this website, our users or the public.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Retention
Server log files are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted or anonymized. Analytics data (when consented) is retained per Google Analytics’ default retention settings (26 months) and can be reduced on request. Consent state stored in localStorage persists in your browser until you clear it or change your preference via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer. Call recordings, where applicable, are retained for up to 12 months.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. This site uses HTTPS encryption for all traffic. That said, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us right away.
Children Under 18
This site is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA and Other U.S. Laws)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Those rights may include:
- Right to know. You can request the categories or specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to correct. You can ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and add an opt-out mechanism.
- Right to limit sensitive data use. Where applicable, you may request that we limit use of sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by law.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor GPC signals where technically feasible. A GPC signal from your browser is treated as a request to opt out of any data sharing that qualifies as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law.
To exercise any of these rights, reach us by phone at (800) 555-0199. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension). We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last reviewed” date at the top of this page will be updated. We encourage you to check back periodically. Continued use of the site after revisions are posted means you accept the updated policy.
